Our Facilitator
Dr. Winnie Wafula is a Medical Doctor and Clinical Pharmacologist. She has been teaching Pharmacology and Therapeutics at University level for over 12 years. She has taught many students of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dental Surgery who are now successful practitioners in their professions. Dr. Wafula has also worked as a Public Health Specialist under the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with Uganda's Ministry of Health. In that role she was part of the Team working to build and strengthen capacity for public health laboratories.
However, Winnie's major passion is to teach Pharmacology with simplicity and understanding. She has observed a "fear of Pharmacology" among many medical students who consider it to be a very difficult discipline. It is for this reason that she is committed to demystifying, simplifying and making the study of Pharmacology enjoyable to students in the Health Sciences.
